Yuri Frayman – President & CEO
Legal industry visionary Yuri Frayman leads Frayman Group as President & CEO.
Frayman has extensive experience in providing mission critical solutions to the global legal vertical, with each iteration based on pioneering technology. Prior to Frayman Group, Frayman founded LegalKEY Technologies Inc. (LegalKEY), the leading proactive compliance solution provider to law firms. Under his leadership, LegalKEY assisted over 250 law firms to effectively audit their new business acquisition and matter-related processes, apply best practices, develop and implement supporting technologies, and assist with related training and change management before being acquired by Hummingbird Ltd. (Hummingbird) in 2003. Following the acquisition, Frayman was appointed General Manager and managed the P&L for the legal vertical business at Hummingbird and remained in charge until the acquisition of Hummingbird by Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX) in October 2006.
A. Barry Schiffman, Esq. – Senior Vice President & General Counsel
Barry Schiffman is General Counsel at Frayman Group.
Schiffman began his career as an Associate at Bracewell and Giuliani LLP and has also worked for Fulbright and Jaworski LLP. After leaving traditional law firm practice, Schiffman was co-founder of Next Frontier Capital Ltd., an emerging markets private equity and investment advisory firm, where he sourced and structured investments across a variety of sectors in CIS, Africa, and Asia. Schiffman was also co-founder, COO, and General Counsel of Viewdle, Inc., a digital media company utilizing a facial recognition based platform for indexing and searching video. Schiffman has had extensive experience in both legal and business capacities, evaluating and incubating early and mid-stage technology companies including structuring numerous investment rounds, intellectual property development, and commercial deployment. Schiffman is a graduate of Georgetown University, Magna Cum Laude, and Georgetown University Law Center. Schiffman is a member of the State Bar of New York.
Kandace Donovan – Senior Vice President & General Manager, North America
Kandace Donovan leads the sales management team for Frayman Group in North America.
Donovan has an exemplary record in the legal technology industry with more than 20 years of strategic leadership and business development expertise. Throughout her career, Donovan has consulted with more than 250 law firms about their risk management needs, helped them to select and implement leading-edge solutions to improve their businesses. Her career started at MSI, before moving to LegalKEY where she was the catalytic factor in the LegalKEY drive to rapidly penetrate the North American legal vertical and consolidate its position as solution of choice. Prior to The Frayman Group, Donovan was responsible for global legal sales at Hummingbird. Donovan graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a BA in History.
Bryan Roberts – Senior Vice President & Managing Director, United Kingdom
Bryan Roberts leads sales and operations for Frayman Group in the UK.
With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, Roberts held various software development, sales, management and leadership positions. For the past seven years, Roberts’ primary focus has been the legal industry. Prior to joining Frayman Group, Roberts was the UK Sales Director of Enterprise Solutions at Lexis Nexis, where he was instrumental in helping establish LexisNexis as a key player in the UK legal software marketplace. Prior to LexisNexis, Roberts was Sales Director for Aderant, a leading practice management solutions provider, and managed sales operations for the company in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Mohit Thawani – Senior Vice President, Products
Mohit Thawani leads product management and R&D teams at Frayman Group.
With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Thawani has an extensive background in the enterprise software industry, having held senior management positions as head of product management, business development, marketing, sales, and research & development.
During his long tenure in the professional services industry, Thawani made a significant impact to risk management practices at law firms. As a co-founder of LegalKEY Technologies, and in various senior management roles at Hummingbird and OpenText, Thawani advised, streamlined and helped implement new business intake, risk management and compliance platforms at some of the largest law firms in the world.
Thawani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and is a 2012 candidate for an Executive MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, specializing in Strategy, Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
Meg Block – Senior Vice President, Risk Management Consulting
Ms. Block heads up Frayman Group’s risk management practice and delivers value to the legal community by providing in-depth risk management process reviews and tailored system designs.
With over twenty-five years of experience consulting to the legal community, Ms. Block specializes in business process reviews and the design of enterprise-wide risk management programs. Ms. Block has long been recognized as a thought leader in the areas of new business intake and conflicts of interest, and speaks and writes frequently on these topics.
Prior to joining Frayman Group, Ms. Block was a Managing Director with HBR Consulting LLC, previously known as Baker Robbins & Company and Hildebrandt Baker Robbins.
Margos Grigoryan – Senior Vice President, Professional Services
Margos Grigoryan leads the consulting and support organizations at Frayman Group.
Grigoryan began his career in legal when he joined LegalKEY Technologies in 1998. Throughout his career, Grigoryan has focused on improving risk management and practice support for law firms. A sought after resource and thought leader in the legal industry, Grigoryan has worked with over 200 law firms managing a multitude of projects ranging from implementation to custom development, working with both IT and business people effectively. Prior to joining The Frayman Group, Grigoryan held various management and leadership positions in support and services organizations at LegalKEY, Hummingbird, Open Text and Baker Robbins.
Robin Mohan – Senior Vice President
Robin Mohan is a founder and member of the executive management team at Frayman Group.
Mohan was a shareholder of Kramer Lee & Associates that was acquired by Hummingbird in 2003. He assumed the position of EMEA Director at Hummingbird where he was responsible for the re-organisation of the EMEA support department into a profitable business unit. By developing and implementing innovative business strategies, Mohan was able to provide business stability and a foundation for substantial future revenue growth. He has a technical background gained through the implementation of leading edge ECM solutions into the legal vertical. His customer focused approach has led to the development of post sales solutions customized to enable firms to maximize the benefits from their investments. Mohan has completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, London and has an MSc in Information Systems and Technology from City University, London.
